Construction Staking
“A construction survey is used to provide horizontal and vertical staking of the location of proposed buildings, structures, or facilities prior to and during construction according to engineering or architectural plans.”
– Texas Society of Professional Surveyors Manual of Practice For Land Surveying in the State of Texas
A construction survey is performed to interpret information on a set of engineering or architectural plans and identify their locations on the ground.
The surveyor will calculate and place centerline or offset marks, or stakes, on the property to instruct contractors on where to build various improvements. Construction staking reduces the risk of improvements being misplaced on your project.
